– The shuttle schedule from Izmir Airport to Math Village will be announced via email. In case shuttle schedules are not fine with you, you can reach the math village by yourself. Here are some useful information regarding this:
– There is no exchange place close to the Math Village (only in Selçuk), so in case you may need to have local currency with you please exchange it before your arrival.
By the way there is a small kiosk in the Math Village that you can buy from. They accept both credit cards and cash (Turkish Liras).
– Upon your arrival to the Math Village, you will receive the keys to the rooms that have been allocated to you in the reception. Math Village provides bed sheets and towels (but no hairdryers and shampoo), in case you would like to bring your personal belongings, please do so.
– The nearest health care facility is in Şirince (15-20 minutes walk from Math Village) – and in case of emergency Math Village provides vehicles to go to the hospitals. In any case that you use any medicine, or you think you may probably need any, please provide it before your arrival to Math Village.
As you may guess there are mosquitos outside as well. If you wish, you can bring mosquito repellent sprays.
– There is a laundry in the Math Village where you can give your clothes to them and they will wash and clean it for you. They do not have Irons for clothes.
– There is no internet access in the rooms. Only in a few common places like the library and reception, you can connect your devices.
– With the arrival of the autumnal equinox, the weather may become a bit cooler, please bring at least one warm piece of clothing with yourself.
You should bring your swimming suit and sun protection lotion for the boat trip. Also if you have a cap to wear in Ephesus, don’t forget to bring it as well.
– There are no places close-by to print posters. Those who are going to present one, should print and bring it with themself.
– In case you are a fan of ping-pong, please bring your rockets and ball.
